We ordered the parts and then did the install ourselves. Turned out great! Mo was super helpful coming out to the site multiple times and taking measurements and tweaking the design multiple times, giving us his help during the install, and then following up after completion. Thanks y'all!

Our new pantry / laundry room cabinets are exactly what we wanted. Dinah was extremely patient and accommodating as we refined the design. The installation process was painless and faster than expected. And the price was much less than a national competitor, WITH the competitor's supposed huge discounts. Plus, our Portland Closet Company's install was custom-designed and built to our space, so no need to fit within standard sizing (another key differentiator vs the competition). Local company - great quality - excellent value - highly recommended!

I just had a Murphy bed installed, and I couldn't be more impressed with the entire experience. From start to finish, the team was nothing short of professional. They were respectful, punctual, and worked with precision. It was clear they took great care in their craft, ensuring everything was done to the highest standards. The installation was seamless, and they made the most of the space, which was exactly what I needed. They also left the area spotless after the install. As for the Murphy bed itself, it’s clearly a step above other models I have seen. The unit is well made, sturdy, and feels structurally secure. The spring action is smooth and high quality, and I can tell it’s built to last. The mattress is surprisingly comfortable which I didn't expect from a fold out unit, and the shelving and drawers have modularity and soft-close glides that are high quality. Overall, I'm thrilled with both the product and the installation. I highly recommend this company for anyone considering a Murphy bed!

After they did a great job installing cabinets in our attic a few years ago, we hired the Portland Closet Company again to install storage in our basement. This was a complicated project with an extremely sloping floor, non-square walls, and a post to work around. The estimator was pleasant to work with, had several suggestions that improved the layout over my original concept, and was flexible when I changed my mind on a few details. The installation was right on schedule and the installers did a great job working around the obstacles and getting everything level. The price was noticeably lower than the quotes I got from the national companies, and even the accounting staff was flexible and friendly when I accidentally mailed payment to the wrong address! I was happy to use a local family-owned company, and I would definitely use them again for a future project.

Portland Closet Company installed a wall bed in my guest room and a storage solution in a basement space. They helped me design the project to fit my needs. The install went well, there were a few minor issues that they resolved in a followup visit. I'd recommend them for similar projects.

Portland Closet Company installed closets in our house more than a decade ago. We liked them so much that when we recently remodeled, we called them to install new closets, shelving, and mudroom storage/organization. We have been so happy with the quality of the product. The customer service is also great - they do what they say they are going to do. The entire process from beginning to end was very smooth. The installers were courteous, and made sure to cover our washer and dryer before installing cabinets above them. I highly recommend this company!

Portland Closets did not disappoint; in fact, they delivered in spades. I had nicknamed my closet "the beast" and was at my wits end when a sister, a very wise sister, suggested I have a system built in. I looked into 5 companies who provide this service and product in the Portland Oregon area and decided to go with Portland Closets because 1. they offered to tear out my existing closet free of charge 2. they would work with plaster and lathe (some simply wouldn't) 3. they didn't try to pressure me into a sale 4. their prices were comparable to other vendors and they were nice, friendly and professional to work with from start to finish and 5. I liked that they are local and privately owned. These words aside, I think the pictures speak for themselves.

I wanted a few days for the presence of my new wardrobe to settle in before writing this review, and it still blows me away. From the finish down to the soft close drawers. She fits into my bedroom like a glove. Thank you to the entire Portland Closet Company team. The process from design to creation was poetry in motion. Even with the disassembly of my old closet, the entire project only took 2 days. Chris, Daniel, Jill, and Team really blew me away with their creation, and it is my pleasure to share!

We've needed a good storage solution for a long time, but we've always been intimidated by the costs. We never even tried to get quotes because we assumed it was out of our budget. The first few quotes we got from local cabinet makers were exorbitant and atrocious. We also got quotes from other well-known national closet companies. Portland Closet Company, a local family owned company gave us the best quote. Dinah was our designer and walked us through the designs and measurements. We needed the shelf in a very short turnaround time (less than a month from consult to installation), and Portland Closet Company promised us that this was possible. We got a surprisingly good quote that motivated us to get another project done (murphy bed). This was another project we had in mind for several months down the line, but the quote we got for both was too good to resist. A snowstorm hit Portland for about a week, and we were sure that the installation would be delayed. But to our shock and surprise, it wasn't! Special shout out to Jill! She communicated with us at every step of the way, was always available, and extremely responsive. Mo was extremely kind and saved us multiple drives to Portland. The installation team did an exceptional job. Both projects were done in a day and a half. There were some kinks in the installation, but Portland Closet Company was more than happy to fix them for us. They followed up with me multiple times to make sure both projects were absolutely perfect! They covered even the smallest imperfections. We are absolutely impressed and happy with how this turned out. We couldn't have asked for better. The quality of work, the people we worked with, literally everything about this company is perfection. Don't waste your time getting quotes from other companies. Portland Closet Company is the place to choose!

From the moment we started working with Rose (designer), we felt confident our project would turn out well. Our semi-finished basement has a lot of weird pipes and windows to work around, but Rose took precise measurements and offered us different solutions to maximize the use of our space with a set of great looking, multi-functional cabinets, shelving, and desk space. Rose was patient with us as we made decisions to revise, and eventually finalize our design. Visiting the showroom helped us decide on our material and hardware. And then scheduling the install was easy. The install team did an excellent job -- on time, good communication, etc. There were a few minor misalignments, but an installer came out reasonably quickly to fix them. Overall, we're very satisfied with everything.

If there was such a thing as a 6 star review then Portland Closet Company would deserve it. Our designer, for a custom home office with cabinets plus garage cabinets and storage, was very pleasant to work with and I really appreciate it. The designer never tried to upsell or pressure me. Moreover, he didn’t give me any grief as I changed the design around. He was easy to work with and very gracious with his time in the showroom. The installers were A+. Nicest guys in the world. Conscientious about keeping my house and garage clean and didn't cut corners. When one of the doors wasn't closing properly they told me what was going on and that they would have to come back. Then I received a great follow up email with an individual who was my point person for the issue which was great. He communicated well and told me when someone was going to come out to fix the issue. A+ for keeping me updated. There are always issues that an installation will run into. It is how the company responds that really matters. A+ all around. Price was WAYYYY MORE AFFORDABLE then the local franchise competitors. I mean by a good margin…and for the same exact product.
